1953 Packard Convertible

With only 1518 ‘53 Packard convertibles were built and only a handful came in the Carolina Cream colour, so this beauty is a highly desirable among desirable vehicles.

It came into the Jellybean AutoCrafters shop in reasonable shape, but it had some rust and some front end damage which included the “impossible to find” chrome on the front end.

The front chrome is mainly pot metal which is extremely tough to repair but we have several tradesmen with excellent Tig welding skills, so they made short order of it. Once it was all re-chromed, it was as fantastic looking as when it first rolled out of the showroom

The previous restoration left much to be desired but by the time our craftsmen did their magic, it was an award winner, making the client proud of his masterpiece.

This is also a wonderful car to drive, so the client puts his fair share of miles on it every year as he enjoys this fine piece of driving art.
