To get the “perfect paint job”, you need to start with a good base and work up from there.
This ‘57 Thunderbird is getting the right amount of metal finishing that it doesn’t overwork or weaken the metal, which is counter productive to high end metalwork.
Notice that all the chrome trim and script is mounted at this stage. We do this to make sure the metalwork is perfect enough not to use filler to shape the body to fit the trim.
This one will not only be a stunning work of art when it’s done but it’s also a high performance car as well.
Watch for it in upcoming posts.
